The Mister is the strong, silent type. Don't get me wrong, he talks....a lot sometimes. He just doesn't get into too much of the mushy, emotional stuff. He's like a lot of men. This morning I got up, walked over and gave him a smooch on my way to the bathroom for toilet paper inspection.
He smiled and said he loved me. Then out of his mouth came a prayer. A short, sweet yet most profound and special one for me. It was simply, "Thank you God for another day with the Peanuts." I was a bit startled to hear him say that. But so very grateful none the less. It reminded me to say thank you to God too.
Later after pulling the never ending weeds and mowing the yards he came into the house, stripped nekkid and headed to the shower. On the way past me, I said, "Thanks for the prayer for the Peanuts today."
Him: "How do you know about that?"
Me: "Um, you said it out loud..."
Him: "I did? Huh."
We left it at that. Enough said.
We are never alone in these or any other experiences. Sometimes for brief moments I think we women forget that. I rely so heavily on him for support that I need to remember to support him too. Give your Misters hugs and kisses today; remember they feel the same things we do.

Great post! How was the TP inspection? :)
So far so good. Just left over stuff. No more blood...*knock on wood* *fingers crossed* *hold yer breath and boogey*
My husband and I are thinking about you and yours.
thinking about you and the peanuts
Truly fabulous and inspirational. You are absolutely right that we are not alone. Our husbands do go through so much too, it's easy to forget that amid the whirlwind.
Hey, I'm freaking out here - it's been 4 days since your last update. Keeping everything crossed that this doesn't mean bad news.
you are so right....peanut was there for me a million times over and i swear the birth was harder on him than me.
