Same As Your Face

Yesterday I said to The Mister as he kissed me before leaving for work, "I'm cozy and warm under these covers. Is it cold in here?"

Him: "It's the same as your face."

Me: "Wha?? *blink* *blink* What the hell does that mean?"

Him: "It feels like it feels on your face. It's the same temperature as your face."

Me: "the.same.as.my.face. I cannot believe you answered with that. Not "cold", not "warm" but 'same as your face'...."

Him: "Oh God. You're going to blog about this."

Me: "Yes. Yes I am."

Holy Crap, the Year's Almost Over

Where did time fly?

My husband is not so patiently working on a laptop that I might get to inherit. Yay! Because this POS I use, sucks balls. Big.hairy.balls.

I went to get my eyebrows waxed. It's the only thing, other than a haircut, that I've been "allowing" myself lately- well more than lately. We're, you know.... saving. But I looked down at my nasty, er unpainted toenails and thought, "honey sometimes you gotta just suck it up and get a mani/pedi." So off I went to Walgreen.s after my eyebrows were done. I needed nail polish. I do not like to use the nail salon polish. It's full of stuff I don't want absorbed through my nails and skin. Especially if I might one day get knocked up. I always have carried my own polish in a zippie into the chop-chop shops. I can't find my zippie. I've looked every where....not that there's that many places my nail polish could hide. So off to Walgreen's I went for more Sally Hansen polish.

As I shopped I really hoped that I was remembering correctly, that Sally Hansen doesn't have all the yucky stuff in their polishes. I went ahead with the purchases and came right home to Goo.gle it, again. Sure enough I found this:

The doc has put me back on BCPs. I take them at night so as not to feel urpy. Last night I woke up hot. Seriously HOT. I thought it was hot flashes but it makes no sense that I'd get them while taking whoremoans. I think that only happens when estrogen is low and not taking them. Right? Wasn't night sweats either, I wasn't sweaty. I felt almost feverish but my forehead was cool. Weird. Drank a ton of cool water, went potty and tried to sleep. Sleep came about 3.5 hours later. I was sorta grumpy this morning. The Mister is ready for my bad moods. I already apologized in advance. I hope I don't get too bad on these damn things. Last Christmas was hard. These are different pills so maybe...fingers crossed....it'll be ok.

Doing Christmas shopping. I can't believe how close it is. I'm flabbergasted. Another year gone and no babe. Hopefully that will change some day.

MTHFR & Polyps

So....interesting developments in the last few weeks.

I've been having tons of blood work done and re-done. All things are normal. EXCEPT one...I have the C667T MTHFR mutation. I just call it the "motherfucker mutation".To those of you in the problem pregnancy world you know that this is a "possible" indicator to blood clots and it "may" have implications on recurrent miscarriage. Good news is that treatment is "simple", baby aspirin, 4MG Folic Acid and blood thinner shots if we get pg again. Not too hard. Thank goodness.

Now for the polyps. Indeed I had them. Two were cut out this morning and then the doc "scraped" the uterine cavity to remove some smaller ones. She gave us pictures! They're kinda bitchin' too.

So now the polyps are out and the pain pills are in; along with a pudding cup to keep me from barfing up said pain pills. That would be bad.
