Weekend Fun....and Food!

Ever since experiencing my first Greek Festival in Phoenix, I've tried to go to attend one every year....no matter where I was living. Guess what's happening this weekend?!!!! *bouncing* I'm so excited! The Mister and I are going tomorrow (or Sunday if it's raining) and I can't wait!!! There's something lacking in Greek festivals in the deep south but you gotta love what you got.
Seriously I am an eating machine....I already looked at the menu and have planned my attack.

Gyro
Greek Salad

Walk around a little, do some shopping, listen to music, wear off round one.... next round:

Baklava
Loukoumathes (this one I have to plan for...the line gets long and they run out. I will keep my eye on that tent!)
Greek Coffee
*drool*

I'm thinking that I'll have to get something to go too. I eat every 2-3 hours like clockwork. I'll probably get hungry on the car ride home. :-)

Did I tell y'all that I'm awake from 2 AM- 5 AM every day? I am. Everyday. It's awful. I've resigned myself to just getting up, peeing and going out to the living so the Mister can sleep. The cats come along, play, doze and we all have a snack. I'm hoping that I'll sleep better soon, after the first trimester. Seems like something I read said that it gets better after then.

Other "exciting" news, at least from my bum's perspective, NO MORE PIO shots!!!! I have two more estrogen shots but they are easy- one tonight and one next Tuesday. I'll supplement progesterone for 5 more days with Crinone gel....in the hoohah. Then at the 12 week point the placenta is fully functional and is making all the estrogen and progesterone the pregnancy needs. My butt cheeks are numb and I have hematomas all over the place.
Wanna see our needle tree?

Isn't this tree so us? Would it have been easier to get another bottle? Yes. As fun? Nope.
I have no clue where to take the needle trees. I guess I'll call the number for EPA on the side of the ridiculously small red Bio hazard container. I'll make sure to disassemble the trees and transfer all the overflowing syringes to another container of course.
Stay tuned for a new belly pic next week at the 12 week point. I'm sure you'll see a difference. Especially after all the Greek food. ;-)
Enjoy your weekends. Peace.

Yummmm....Baked Goods

Today the Mister took a PTO day today. His preggo wife can't help do much anymore so he's been quite busy. We did decide to go to our favorite sushi place for lunch (nothing raw for me, I promise). I ate two rolls. Doesn't sound like much but for me that's 12 pieces, which is a lot. Yum. Although the cucumbers didn't sit so well. On the way home I asked the Mister to pull into the bakery, Edgar's Bakery to be exact. I needed baked goods. Don't ask me why. So, I came home with a "Dolly Bar"- graham crust, choc chips, coconut, pecans and condensed milk- and a Red Velvet cupcake. So far, the Dolly Bar is down. I'll probably wait on the cupcake until later. :-) I weighed myself this morning...lost 2 lbs so I figure some calories will do me some good.

For the most part, my morning sickness is down to the cold sloshies (you know that cold, sloshy feeling in an empty stomach?) and mind boggling belches. I rarely gag and haven't thrown up in more than a week. Yippee! *knock wood* We were 11 weeks yesterday!

We're trying to figure out how to coordinate a move right before our due date. Our lease is up in March and the owners want to sell the house so there's no renewal. Shitskies. We'll figure it out. We always do. My kingdom for a good housing market soon so we can sell our rentals and buy our own home here.

Other than that, things are quiet. Quiet is good.
