Locked and Loaded

It's been a good week. Crazy busy at work for both the Mister and I but we got a lot accomplished. We have a new lease for our next house...deposit made and signed on the dotted line. We're organizing for our taxes and packing is slowing getting done. Slowly. But surely at least.

I had a follow-up ultra-sound yesterday and have a nice thick lining for our little embryos to snuggle into....10.7 mm yesterday. Probably 11 mm today. Tomorrow starts the daily shots in the ass of progesterone (PIO). After that, we're locked and loaded. All we need are our two thawed embies to find their way "home" to the lovely nest we've grown for them. Stick babies. Stick.

For those of you who know the Mister...this is another one of my stories about his nutty behavior. For those of you who don't know him...welcome to my world.

I got a text message this morning telling me his was on his way home because he forgot his keys. Um. Ok. Thanks for sharing.

I tried calling to catch him to ask him "what keys?" and perhaps look for them before he drives all the way home. No answer. OK. Well. Huh. Must be his work keys that he left in the other car. (He took the second car to work to fill up the tank at Sam's)

So, about an hour and half after he leaves for work, he's back. I open the garage door and tell the kitties he's home....up the stair he walks. Looking sheepish. I asked him if he left his work keys in the Honda. "Well, see, here's the funny thing." he says. "I pull into the garage and picked up my wallet and grabbed my lunch sack because I wanted to put a bag of chips in there....yeah, under my lunch bag were my keys." *Insert dramatic eyeroll here* My response, "Why am I not surprised."

"Baby, sometimes I don't know how you put up with me.", he says. "Now that I'm here, I'm going to have a bowl of cereal."

Picture me staring at him. Not moving. Just looking, observing, watching. THIS is the man I chose? Yes, of course it is. He's wonderful. Forgetful and seriously a male-version of an airhead sometimes but wonderful.

PS- He moved his computer keyboard after getting home from work. The Costco card he lost 3 weeks ago was under it. Yup. I'm lucky.

teehee the keys story is too funny. That's a nice thick lining for those thawed embies. Now that you're an old pro at the shots in the ass I'm sure you're totally blase about it, huh?
