I follow other people's blogs and have developed a great circle of friends on a forum named "The Drunken Debauchery- Tequila is Better Than Clomid"- DD for short. The girls from the DD are of varying ages, all of whom met on a website named Fertility Friend. Fertility Friend became a drag, we couldn't curse, give out website addresses or exchange any personal information without being scolded or banned for life. So, one of the girls developed our own private forum where we can vent, support each other in the baby making happenings, give advice on what works for raising kids, dealing with husbands, expanding home based businesses and the like.
I've also met wonderful women who are on an IVF journey with or without donor eggs. Many of those women have had great success in their first attempts and some have had terribly sad outcomes after multiple tries. I keep track of many of these women on their own blogs as well as by email or Fertility Friend.
In the past few weeks many people have had wonderful blessings and successes in their lives. No matter how small or big they are, they're all something to be happy about:
- Dee63- The wonderful woman who donated left over progesterone to my cause and who was looking at this most recent frozen embryo transfer as her last hurrah after 10 miscarriages. Dee got her BFP and last Friday saw a strong beating heart. Congrats! It's been a long hard journey for you.
- Shawntain and Peanut- Their little Hippo, sweet Baby Heath who's entry into the world was a little rough, had his most recent suck-swallow test yesterday. He passed with flying colors. Now begins the work weaning him off his G-tube for feeding. Yay Heath!
- Malinda and Andy- In the Czech Republic as we speak and who just had their transfer today. Their embryos were beautiful and they had extras to freeze. You too deserve strong sticky beans after all the heartache you've been through. Sticky vibes, sticky vibes, sticky vibes!
- Sue- BFP after unsuccessful IVFs. Her frozen embryo appears to have found a nice home and is snuggling in. I hope the coming weeks bring more happiness and a healthy peanut for you too.
- My brother successfully rode from Seattle to Portland this weekend. An event that had him riding 100 miles per day! Well done Andy. We're all so proud of you.
- Katie-She has 2 job interviews next week for teaching positions. Good Luck Katie!
- Tara- Tara is "Paper Pregnant". She and her hubby are all done doing what it is you do to adopt- Paperwork, home studies, letters to birth mothers, videos, etc. Now they wait to be chosen. Congrats! Time will fly by and soon you'll be parents.
- Everyone is healthy. Everyone is employed. Everyone is safe.
I'm sure I am missing other wonderful things that happened this week but I think I've made my point. Life is good. May we all continue to be blessed.
