We had 17 eggs retrieved on Tuesday. Of the 17, 13 were mature. The 13 mature eggs were fertilized via ICSI and 12 fertilized normally!!! ICSI is the injection of one sperm into one egg. Normally it's done when the Daddy has sperm quality issues. However our RE does this on everybody because they pick out the strongest sperm and it increases fertilization results. Yay Spermies!
We have twelve little miracles sitting in petri-dishes getting ready to turn into embryos. I'll keep you all apprised after tomorrow's report from the office.
